■ Overview

Quantum × AI Fusion Maps are a structured collection of corporate initiatives, research themes, application fields, and technical architectures in the fusion domain of quantum technologies (quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum communication) and AI/machine learning technologies.
They are organized using ConceptMiner’s Growing Neural Gas (GNG) + Minimum Spanning Tree technology, and systematized as multiple Perception Maps (conceptual structure maps).

This is not a conventional technical report. Using only text information and supplementary data collected from the internet, it is an entirely new type of knowledge product that visualizes the structure of technical domains through the combination of large language models (LLMs) and data mining.

Quantum AI is an “Emerging Market” where research, technology, applications, and demonstration environments evolve rapidly, making it extremely difficult to intuitively grasp its complex relational structure. This series organizes that complexity into multi-layered Perception Maps, enabling understanding as a structured framework.

■ Notable trends (analysis and commentary)

In the field of quantum × AI convergence, the following research acceleration × technology integration × industrial validation initiatives are underway.
This Maps provides these complex structures as a visualized conceptual framework.

  1. The experimental domain of quantum machine learning (QML) is rapidly expanding.
Quantum machine learning methods such as VQA/QAOA/QNN are increasing,
blurring the boundary between QPUs and GPUs.
  2. “Proof-of-concept driven” quantum AI accelerates in pharmaceuticals, materials, and finance
    Shifting from research paper-centric approaches
to corporate-led PoCs (drug discovery, risk calculation, materials exploration).
  3. The combination of quantum computing and generative AI emerges
Generative AI assists quantum circuit design,
giving rise to new domains like “QLLM” and “quantum × generative AI”.
  4. Quantum sensing integrates with AI, advancing practical applications
Improved sensing accuracy in healthcare, materials, and environmental fields
    is a key focus.
  5. A “tripolar structure” emerges among Europe, the US, Japan, and China
Quantum × AI is a geopolitically significant domain,
with distinct national research clusters becoming clearer.
